It is located in the village of Gjesvær on the western end of the island of Magerøya. The chapel is part of the Nordkapp parish in the Hammerfest deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, wooden chapel is privately owned and it was built in 1960. It seats about 70 people.
